Here is my card for several challenges this week. I am entering this in HYCCT1205-Courage, WT395-What are the Odds, FLLCOCT12-Think Pink Challenge, and the Pink Project on Copic Oz's blog....whew! Anyway, my friend Blooms challenged me to make a Twisted Circular Easel card and pm'd me the wonderful tutorial by Beate! Beate always makes the most beautiful cards and this one really made me want to try this technique. It wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it would be! Lots of fun!
For my card, I wanted to play along with the HYCCT1205 challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness. My family has been hit particularly hard this year...my mom is still recovering from her breast cancer surgery and radiation treatments and my cousin (on mom's side) is now in her own battle. Normally, I would send this card on to MD Anderson, but I am sending this one to my dear cousin to hopefully lift her spirits. I colored this feisty little piece of business (she looks like she could mix it up, doesn't she?) with Copics and popped her up. The sentiment I printed on the computer using a couple of different fonts. I think this saying really portrays a sense of courage for the HYCCT1205 challenge. My odd number for the WT395 challenge is the 3 bling hearts and also I have 3 bling studs for the dog collar on the inside (can't see them when the card is propped up...sorry). I made the dog tag using a die cut and embossing several layers of ep then stamped "Love" into it while still wet then tied it onto my little stitched dog collar for the inside of the card. For the FLLCOCT12 Think Pink challenge, I did not have a Flourishes stamp to fit this card....yet...lol! I am sure I will be shopping for one soon, but I did use all pink! Thank you all for the wonderful challenges this week. I hope everyone has a wonderful World Cardmaking Day today doing what you love with people you love...I know I am! ;) My prayers are for everyone fighting this horrible disease and their families. God Bless!

Looooove this! Katie, your lil critter does look like she could mix it up! Adorable, and your message is so meaningful. Beautiful way to shed some "pink" light of awareness, and also to bless your cousin. Your stitching is incredible (done whilst snacking on some delish treats, no doubt!) Love the line of hearts, and precious lil tag. Perfection.....from your pink papers and bling-age to the wonderful twisted easel. You have a beautiful heart Lady Katie!

Holy smokes!!! This is incredible. Obviously a lot of love went into this card and I have a feeling that your cousin will brighten up when she opens this. There are so many elements that you incorporated to take this to the next level I could stare at it for a very long time. It is way over my head..... That little image and the sentiment is just so perfect. Thank you so much for participating in my challenge and adding to our gallery of courage.
