This is for Monday's TLC (woven background) technique, and today's SC405.
I have been tossing around my idea for the weave since I saw the challenge, and when I saw today's sketch - it hit me I can combine these two.
I did not have any adhesive paper so I created my own by using double side scotch tape. I then carefully wove my papers. I then used a triangle die to cut a tree shape out of the green paper. I then played around with computer generated sentiment, and finally got it to work out around the cut out. Glued it on top of the weave, cut out a tree stand on bottom portion to show more weaving, added ribbon, and voila - finished.
I really am quite pleased with how it turned out - what do you think?

FABULOUS, Barb......I knew you would create something special. Love your tree woven with holiday colored DPs and topped off with the satin bow. The bg embossing adds wonderful texture.

You did a WONDERFUL job on this..your "weave" turned out really nice ..I didn't have the patience to tackle it that day. Brilliant idea to cut out a tree shape and insert your woven piece...and the placement of the greeting is clever!
