I'm FINALLY getting started on the Hope You Can Cling To Challenges. Today's challenge is to feature 5 Words. I've been thinking about stamping though life has been busy and the follow-through has been lacking, but I'd seen this card SC393 Guardian Angel by peeps321 at Splitcoaststampers from last week's Queen for the Day peeps321 and I thought it would work well for this challenge. I also was throwing away some bank envelopes and saw the inner lining was grey so I snagged them up for my card! I started with a Basic Grey base and layered a piece of Grey patterns pack dp script over it after sponging the eddges. I layered my bank envelope triangle piece over another Basic Grey and distressed the edges. I added the hemp and pearls. I stamped my butterfly onto vellum paper and mounted it with vellum tape. I stamped the words in grey and punched them out sponging the edges and layering onto complementary colored circles. For my sentiment I had to resort to hand writing because I've misplaced my box of small alphabet stamps, using a black gel pen on another piece of envelope lining. I tore then sponged and blued them on! I feel like these words are a great reminder that even though we can't choose our circumstances, we can choose our response....words I'm telling myself these days!

Lovely card Gail! You're so resourceful to use the inside of an envelope...I know what you mean..I'm always seeing the cardmaking potential of everything! I like the bg with the tiny words and then your sentiment which is GREAT! Thank you for honoring me with this beautiful card! I so appreciate it!

I thought this was for Beate's challenge, at first! I really like the layout, Gail, and love your handwritten words. There's so much power in that "I will choose.."
