First, it is for the October Scrapbook focus challenge for the Creative Crew. The colors had to be those in the Orchard Harvest paper.
So...the story. I was on vacation the middle part of the month. I got all my challenge projects planned and was going to create them the last week of September. So far, so good. But my scrapbook page just wouldn't come together. Nothing I would do would work. I hated it all. So this morning (Sunday) I went to church wondering just how I was going to manage that page this afternoon.
Now I have to give a HUGE hug and thanks to our church secretary (Thanks, Karen!!!) for using the cover she did on the bulletin today. She saved my life! This little girl is ADORABLE! And my page just came together when I got home.
Smile!
Now for the details. From the simpler version, I did the following:
...removed the three extra leaves
...changed the banner
...added a button and tab
...added punched borders above and below the photo
The title is generated on the computer using RGB codes for cajun craze. (174,74,50)
The button has some versamark on it to give some color variation, and it is saffron paper.
The little leaves are the only stamped item...and they are hand-cut. You could use any little leaf stamp if you don't have this retired set.
The ends of the banner and the tab are punched! I stuck the paper into the punch on one side, and punched the curve.
