New York has become one of my favorite places to visit, so my card is a tribute to my experiences.
The first step was to create a worn brick wall similar to the photo. I inked my brick embossing folder with white ink and empressed it into red Core'dinations textured cardstock. Next I added a bit of sanding and followed with some Mahogany Distress ink until I got the variation in color I was looking for.
I stamped Penny Black's New York Cling stamp in India ink on watercolor paper. I used a variety of water color pencils to scribble over the image, blending each color with water as I went along for an abstract art graffiti sort of feel.
I finished with a few stickers in the top right corner of the image to evoke a bit more of the subway sign, an artistic fortune cookie sticker, and a spray of Old Lace Glimmer Mist for a bit of shimmer.

Stef, what a great card! I love how you did the brick (I could not figure out how to get that look) and your image is awesome! What a fun site this week. Off to do another for upload tomorrow so I can get a daylight photo.
Thanks again for asking me to join you. I loved it!
