I'm slowly catching up on some of the challenges I missed out on through having a cold last week. Still trying to hit my September quota of Christmas cards, so I used Wednesday's sketch to make a quick CAS one using some embossed green card that was on the table. I think maybe I need to add some definition to the edges of the ornament, but I'm not sure how to keep it dainty.
A2 base, first layer is a deep pinky/crimson handmade paper, then black embossed with Polka Dots. The green strips were embossed with Kassie's Brocade, matted onto gold glitter card and sponged with Forest Moss. For the ornament I used MFT dies, more gold glitter card for the ornament cap, and some Polished Stone for the ornament (Watermelon, Raspberry, Red Pepper and Gold mixatives). Ornament had a Christmas sentiment stamped on it, and is popped up on foam.
It was also getting to dusk before I was done, so I really need to replace this with a better daylight photo. Judging by the weather forecast that ain't going to be tomorrow!!
