For this week's teaparty, Sara and her fiance Dave will become husband and wife this weekend. Sara is the daughter of teapotter ctorina, and like her mother has quite elegant tastes (so I have been told).
Also, for the try a new technique, Judy asked us to make a card with rolled flowers. So, I thought it would be perfect to combine the two and make this card.
I used Tim Holtz distress ink (Tea Dye) and Shabby Tote chalk on the edges. I made the rose by rolling a 5x5 cream shiny paper. Then I used a five petal (2.75 inches across) cream colored paper flower as the base and curled the edges a little.
The sentiment was stamped with Perfect Medium and I used gold embossing powder. I added some cream colored lace and a ribbon. To make sure they stayed secure, I added white heart shaed brads. Also, there is a diamond shaped brad with nine round rhinestones just under the rose. Sorry you can's see it in the photo.
Thank you Marie for hosting the teaparty this week! Judy, thank you too, very fun challenge! And as always, thank you so much for taking a peek!
To the Happy Couple, CHEERS!!!

Beautiful wedding card! I love your rolled rose. I haven't had much luck with them in the past. May have to try again. The delicate colour scheme is perfect for a wedding with roses.

Kathleen, this is stunning! Your rolled rose is amazing, I cannot seem to make those, I even have a die for it and still can't do it well. Love the lace on your card too.
