For the Ways to use it challenge, we were asked to use a technique with our markers. I used the Copic texture technique to add some texture to the leaves in the trees. By using the blender pen, you can lift color and make areas look lighter, then I went in with two darker shades of green to and shadows. the effect is leaves of different colors and shading combined. The other technique I used is laying the marker at about a 45 degree angle right on the outer part of the image and "flicking" the marker towards the center. It is especially evident in the sky, but I also used this technique on the edged of the grass.
I followed the sketch from Wednesday, except I moved the sentiment up just a bit. The colors look so off, but it is very late, so for tonight ...it is what it is! Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Beautiful techniques, Kathleen, this is wonderful in every way...the sentiment works so well with the farming scene...makes me think of planting or sowing and then waiting for the harvest, which is always worth the wait! Love it.

WOW is this lovely Kathleen!! I love how you've colored your country scene!! The barn looks amazing in the red color, and I like the way you used it again with the scalloped punch. It's also really neat how you have the wood like piece of dp. An awesome card!!
