I haven't been to a teaparty in ages, but I just had to send a card to Eula for her 110th birthday! Can you imagine the wonderful memories she must have... I'd love to sit with her and talk about her extraordinary life.
In my letter to Eula, I told her about the year I turned nine. The Barbie doll had just been introduced, and my cake was Barbie dressed in a beautiful gown made of angel-food and fluffy, sugary frosting. It was the best birthday cake ever! In hindsight, I wish I had thought to tell her about my 50th, when my friends and coworkers put a changeable message sign on the side of I-75 that said "Happy 50th - over the Hilda"

If the Barbie cake could even hold a candle to your gorgeous rose and luscious pink embossing, I would be surprise - so glad you came to Eula's birthday tea party - you have been missed - hope all is well. Your 50th BD sounds like a bunch of fun - on I-75 no less!!!! LOL What a hoot!!

Hi Hilda, lovely to see you at the party this week - and what a gorgeous card you've brought along, too. That embossing folder is beautiful, a great setting for your lovely flower. I can remember making that sort of cake, only not with Barbie - I think I got one of those china half-dolls like for old-fashioned tea-cosies. Have to laugh at the message your friends put up for your 50th!!
