This week the teaparty is for Eula Cousins as she celebrates her 110th birthday! I figure if you live to be 110 years old, you deserve an OTT birthday card!
I looked at the last two year's teaparties for Eula and saw her Parrot (named Star), the term "What an Adventure" and saw a photo of her her holding a card with a daisy. So I thought I would include those. I also googled her (he he he, sneaky!) and that is where I read about some of the highlights of her life. The article is by Len Lear on the Chestnuthilllocal.com/blog. It really was so fascinating! I included some of those highlights in the heart. It says:
"Born in 1902 to John and Mary Taylor on September 14th. Graduated from Virginia Union University. Married Dr William Montgomery Cousins. Walked along the River Jordan. Raised money thru the NAACP for Rosa Parks. Met the U.S. Ambassador Dr. Jerome H. Holland. Social Worker." You can't see it all, but you get the idea.
One of the other things I read, LOVE is what keeps her living so long! How sweet is that?!!! Happy Birthday Eula, I hope it is as special as you are!!!
