I made this card for Eula's 110th birthday and got it in the mail on Saturday. I chose the horse image because one of my favorite memories of my birthday was when my Dad would take me to the local riding stable so I could get my free trail ride. I had a favorite horse named Flame. The really cool part of all this is that my Dad would take me out of school so I could do this. I loved being able to go riding when the rest of my classmates were still in school.
The layout of my card is one that Gina K did in her latest StampTV video and I reallyI liked it, although my focal image is horizontal rather than vertical.
I personalized the greeting to say 'Happy Birthday Eula' on translucent vellum. Inside is a panel of the same soft rose color, with a birthday wish on white cardstock.

What a lovely horse and a lovely memory to go with it. Funny, we were only talking in work the other day about birthdays - several of the others always got allowed a day off school, like you. I certainly never was! Sometimes I was lucky if Easter was late and the holidays overlapped, but more often I was in school.
