"He is so different, with two older siblings to watch. If he notices any of [dad]'s shoes, he picks them up and puts them away. He is proud that he can help, too. He has to do one shoe at a time because they are too big for him to carry both. He wraps both arms around one shoe, and hugs it to his chest as he toddles. But usually Luke [big brother] or Mel [big sister] will see him heading off, and will carry the other shoe for him, and follow him and open and close the closet door for him. They think he is so cute! The "shoe chore" began when I asked Mel to put away [daddy]'s shoes. I noticed Fuzzy [baby's nickname] immediately headed for a shoe. So he and Mel walked off together. Since then, Fuzzy takes the initiative whenever he notices Daddy's shoes lying out. "
Sorry for that long story. But it explains the pup holding the one shoe!
This card was inspired by today's Queen Peggy's 52nd Birthday Celebration card. I was inspired by her layout and the lady holding the cake sparked the idea of having a pup carry a shoe!
