In today's Ways to Use it challenge, Steph asked us to make a card with Apples. So I looked thru my collection of digis and found this one from Designed2Delight. The last couple of times, I have been asked about my coloring. So I thought I could share the Copic markers I used. I colored the red part of the apple with R35, R46, R27 leaving the white crescent as a light reflection. Near the stem I used G23 and Y00. For the leaves I used G21 and YG63 and the shadow under the apples is E15 and E37. They say it is usually best to use at least three colors. But for the leaves, I didn't want to go to dark. Also, I sponged the background with yellow ochre chalk.
The reason I used the sentiment, "FROM HARVEST" is because that is the name of the town where I live. I thought it went pretty well with the image. It is computer generated.
Thanks so much for taking a peek!

Hi Neighbor! Your apples look marvelous, almost good enough to eat, Kathleen! If I used copics, those numbers would mean a lot to me, but I'm sure they will help those who do use them. Faith always wrote which ones she used, but we haven't seen her in over a year now. : ( Your die cuts look great and the sentiment is perfect for your card~ I like your soft yellow chalk around the edges too~

Kathleen, Your coloring of the apples is fantastic as usual. Thanks for the copic numbers. I really like the idea of you using your town's name on this card. Great way to personalize it. That's a great name for a town. tfs

Great apple card..and because I know where you live I didn't need the explanation of the double meaning of "Harvest"..I always thought that was a cool name when I heard you lived there. Thanks for giving the copic numbers and tips..I can always use help with those. Love the dies cuts and your striped bg.
