I'm so excited to be having a chance to stamp again in the challenges after a few weeks of crazy life chaos revolving around kids going and coming from college, a kitchen renovation complete with losing a wall, and the wedding of my firstborn DD! Her new MIL and I really get along well and I wanted to send her a card as she was really suffering during the travel & wedding with a health issue and had surgery right after she got home. As home school moms especially, it is a wonderful thing to see our grown children making great life choices and walking so closely with the Lord. Even though this stamp set is meant more for Thanksgiving I'm sure, it seemed appropriate as a way to encourage her about the blessings she and I are seeing in our adult kids lives and how I feel about our two families joining together.
Today's Ways to Use it Challenge is to include apples and or Fall colors and themes. I also used the sketch from yesterday's sketch challenge. My image and sentiment panels are stamped on Natural Ivory cs with distressing and sponging with neutrals on the edges. My base is Artichoke stamped with the same in the Weathered bg and sponged. I water colored with WWC and a paint brush. I added a panel of burlap. The hemp/button accent is also distressed and sponged and I used a Chocolate Chip corduroy button that I colored with a Early Espresso marker (makes a cool image when you stamp off some of the marker...may show up on another card later

Whew, Gail....just reading all that has been going on in your life makes ME tired!! : ) I'm sure your DD's wedding was beautiful and an event to be remembered by all who attend.
A lovely card to send to your DD's new MIL. It has a gentle country spirit and your bushel of apples is colored to perfection. Hope she recovers quickly.

It's good to have you back, Gail! Sounds like you had a very busy summer. What a great looking vintage card. I love your twine, burlap and button on this one and the colors are perfect! The sentiment really takes on more than one meaning for the receiver~
