Altered Concertina Chipboard Pennant - My submission to the Gypsy Fortune Teller Swap over at AlphaStamps.
Looks like this Madam Fortune Teller has lots of props and is prepared to tell what your future holds. Be sure to leave her a good tip. I think that shrunken head is from an unfortunate non-paying customer! eeek!
I made the table by cutting a one inch wooden disc in half using a rotary tool. I also used portion of a golf tee for the pedestal. I used a rotory tool to cut both wooden pieces which made the process a lot easier than cutting by hand. The finished table is only 3/4 of an inch tall and 1 inch wide.
I glued a clear marble to a bead cap for the base of the crystal ball. The miniature chairs completed the look. Hey, can you find the mouse?
Special thanks to Laura Carson and her wonderful video tutorial of her Gyspy Fortune Telling Machine for inspiring me to build this cute little table. You can find the video here and see more of her amazing art on her blog. Don't forget to check out her upcoming Apothecary Event on 9-12-2012.
