I Love this lantern, its so homey, and hubby figured we have one around our farm somewhere just like this...now we have to hunt in our put away's to find it...
Again..we did another week with the stitching, and I chose faux stitching, (which I am poor at, my white gel pen was not working properly, so my white thread was a little uneven....super excuse for a new sewing machine....lol
Also I did two of the lantern, cut one out and popped it on top of the other with Foam Tape, but it doesn't show the depth to the picture.

Jan what a lovely card. This is a perfect man card. You're coloring is great on here and the l/o is nice. I bet your hubby liked this. I have an old RR lantern that was one of my husbands firsts hanging on a big hood with an old cowboy hat of his. I like lanterns too.

Wow, now you really know how to make an AMAZING masculine card...I struggled so with mine and this is incredible. Your coloring ROCKS!!! White gel pens are sooo persnickity... I finally found one that doesn't dry up..and how I know that is I didn't use it for almost a year and then it worked fine! BUT I am the worst at faux stitching and you have it DOWN!! I love the sentiment on this card and your lantern is just so beautifully done... your husband will indeed be "WOWED"!

Jan, your card is beautiful! There's something about old lanterns, eh? I have an old railroad lantern with red glass from my uncle's farm, a lil treat he had stowed away in the barn, and now it is a apart of my living room. I smile to see it, reminds me of those cold nights, sitting around a camp fire, sharing stories and admiring the Father's work in the sky. Your hubby must have had his heart warmed to see this. First thing I noticed was your dimension! Love that! Beautiful work, beautiful heart. Lymi
