Today is the 1st and you know what that means, time for the Dirty Dozen Christmas challenge. Our challenge for September is to use anything felt. Felt flowers, buttons, snowflakes whatever you got that is felt. Felt has such a warm feeling and looks so pretty on cards. Hope you can play along with us this month. Be sure to use the code SCSCCSEP12 when you load your creations so we can see what you created.
I went with a felt snowflake since I have a little jar full of them and never seem to use them enough. I stamped out my image from the set Dove and Holly onto classic white cardstock using memento tuxedo black ink. Now I off stamped my image on scratch paper and then stamped it so that it was a softer feel. I then colored the image with pastel copics before I stamped the sentiment boldly over the image. My paper is using the Color Made Easy Rich Browns collection along with the matching ribbon called Argentina. Also along the edge is some fabulous cotton white lace trim as I can never get enough of the lace on cards. hee hee Tied my felt snowflake off with some metallic silver string added a jewel and voila! This is a perfect card for mailing, although since its the larger size it will still cost a bit more. Alas.... I still have another one done for the year! Whohoo!
