CAS185 Summer Treats -- Knee high by the 4th of July ... and despite the drought, it was! Huh-rah! Ahhh ... the most sweet, delicious summer treat here in the midwest, is the local sweet corn. There are a few hybrid varieties, in fact, that are so sweet and tender, they don't even need to be cooked before eating. No kidding! I'm happy to say that many local grower's fields continue to yield and their farmstands are still filled w/fresh produce for sale. Many farmer's have indicated that they should be able to pick corn and summer vegetables for about two or three more weeks. Yah-hoo!
THANK YOU for looking and enjoy these last weeks of summer!

Corn-on-the-cob is a BIG favorite at our house in the summer. Love your card with the beautiful, artistic ears of corn images. The twine and piercing are perfect finishing details, Gabby.

Yummmy Buttery corn on the cob!!! Your card is delish!!! Love the yellow background to your corn too! Makes me think of the song from Oklahoma,
"Where the corn is as high as an elephant's eyyyyyyyyye, and it looks like it's growing right up to the sky!" All together, "Oh what a beautiful morning, Oh what a beautiful day. I got a beautiful feelin' Everything's goin' my way!"
Gabby you started my day off wonderfully!!! : )
