What a joy to be on the very creative SU Demo's "Creative Crew" Design Team from Sept. thru Dec. 2012. Thank you again Patty, Jana and Susie for the opportunity to share my love of SU products.
The Creative Crew September Theme is.... faux or machine Sewing
This is my favorite card of the four I made for this months challenges. Could it be because it is CAS and fall colors ? What colors? Would you believe Summer Starfruit and Cajun Craze?!? I am really liking Summer Starfruit with fall colors :-)
Recently I have made several backgrounds using the awesome "Water Stamping" technique that is in the SCS Tutorial Forum. Do check it out and be sure and look at the video tutorial too.
I punched out the butterflies and the die cut leaves from my background piece. I sponged Very Vanilla CS with S. Starfruit and C. Craze using a circular motion with well inked stamp pads.
This card qualifies for the Color Focus and Catalog Focus and Holiday Focus Challenges. Enjoy and hope you get to play :-)

Nancy, I love your fall colored Little Leaves - how is it I never thought to use that die with autumn colors?! Love your faux sewint - I thought it was real. Beautiful CAS card. Oh, and BTW, I have to go read the water stamping tutorial, looks great!

Christyne, I just had my Aug. Hostess club party and showed the girls the technique. They LOVED it too. We also did the watercoloring with aqua painter onto clear mount blocks, which they loved. I have several cards in my gallery using both techniques. Do you have samples of your project?

I just love your idea of punching out goodies after using that technique. I can't wait to do this at my next workshop! Thanks, GF, for your beautiful creations.

Fall is one of my favorite seasons, Nancy. I love the vibrant, changing colors and the crisp, clean air and smell of the fallen leaves. Wonderful choice of colors for your gorgeous card!!
