I'm working away at cards for the August Christmas Card Challenge and it makes it more fun to incorporate other challenges into it. So here's one for both the Ways to Use It challenge "Something Old" (to use some of "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue" supplies) and the Try a New Technique "Blissful Backgrounds" (use a SCS tutorial on backgrounds).
My "something old" is the snowflake dp and bronze cardstock - both have been in my paper drawers for years. The "something new" is the masking fluid for masking the sky on the focal image to create snow (which is also my background choice - the Masking Fluid Resist tutorial). The "something blue" is the dp and the ink I sponged the sky with. Nothing borrowed though!

This is really pretty. I love the blue snowflakes on the card and the deer is so fanciful ... LOL ... giving Rudolf a run for his red nose!
