Trish has selected Barb(barbiep) as the Queen for this week. I have come to know Barb personally and not only is she a talented stamper, but a lovely, lovely lady who is a delight. This comes through in the sweet, kind and encouraging comments which she leaves for so many others here on SCS.
I chose this CARD since I was drawn to its leaf theme. Heather Nichols had a technique on her BLOG that I was anxious to try and this seemed like the perfect opportunity. I changed the layout of Barb's card slightly. Changed colors and added a sentiment.
The F4A was to use gradated colors. I did this with sponging using colors in the red through yellow shades.
A HUGE HUG and CONGRATULATIONS, Barb. A well-earned and well-deserved honor.

My, Sallie, you are going WAY back in my gallery, and I so love your version much better than mine. Your colors are so vibrant. An absolutely beautiful "fall" card". I am so honored to be CASEd by one as tallented as you. You know how I feel about your work, since I am so blessed to have gotten to know you in person. Thank you so much for taking time to give me little hints to broaden my knowlege in the crafting world. I appreciate your friendship, and thank you for your kind words. You are a GEM!

I love the colors you worked with on this card! Wonderful "take"on the leaf theme. I LOVE the background (maybe I have to get those leaf stamps!) the dark ribbon is perfect (really think the stitching kicks it up a notch), and the pale framed image of the single leaf against both pops beautifully.
