Vanessa, she approaches me with downcast eyes, and all the seriousness of one entering a confessional. She is young, and adorable! She even has dimples when she is not smiling, (some kinda nerve!) Her confession? “Pat, I am a Foodie”. I had to look it up. A “Foodie” is an aficionado of food and drink. Alas! Now I know! I've been a Foodie all my life and did not know it! Wonder if that particular skill can be added to a resume....
Then with a renewed spunk (more nerve, I tell ya) she enthusiastically asks if I would like to join her at Zumba. Her eyes sparkled. Ok, another thing I had to Google. Zumba, after work, are you kidding me? And, oh my goodness, like I wanna die that way!
From Wikipedia: Zumba involves dance and aerobic elements. Zumba's choreography incorporates hip-hop, soca, samba, mambo, martial arts, and some Bollywood and belly dance moves. Squats and lunges are also included. (and seriously, I do not know what half of these are either, and still, I am afraid!) A typical Zumba session burns between 500 and 1000 calories. Unless, of course, you die first! Zumba sounds like a lil too much "activity" if you ask me. Give me death by chocolate any day! I once "watched" a Pilates video, and consumed malt balls. That, was tiring!
So, all that to say, this card is for my young, sweet, Foodie friend- with many thanks to her for the lovely invite. Pass the chocolate......
Rubber Romance image was watercolored and paper pieced. She has red Stickles on her lips and that chocolate she is diving into...yes, sprinkled with chocolate flavored coffee. Smells delish! (wicked, ain't I?) Lol!
Thanks for looking!

Pat my friend: Vanessa will love your card. The image really does look like her, such a cutie. You inspire my yet elementary card making with every beautiful card you make. Glad to be a stamping sister, sis.

Your description is tiring! And here I thought Zumba was something used to clean the floors (not really), but I'm with you no, Zumbaing for this gal! Chocolate flavored coffee, hmmm, sounds delish! I hope you include this description for whomever is getting this wonderfully creative card, it's a part of it after all!! I like foodie better than chocoholic! Pat, I love where your creativity goes, this scene is fantastic!

OMGosh, thank you so much for the stomach workout! Laughing makes for a good stomach workout, right? My poor ribs are sore too.... Your image is gorgeously (is that even a word?) colored and I love the paper piecing, too. the lace and dp immediately make you think of a girly girls' room. Beautifully done, my friend, and I'm off now to get some coffee. Too bad it's not chocolate flavored... LYMI!!!

OMGosh! ZUMBA??? There is this muscular well tanned guy (see reference to muscle man card) here at the hotel who teaches Zumba in the water! Honey, you would come homefrom a 14 hour work day to Zumba with him! Great card and love the gorgeous coloring you did.
