After this, I've decided maybe I don't want to be Kittie when I grow up after all! How does she do it?
What started out as a simple concept soon turned into a major time expenditure. I way under-estimated the number of flowers it would take, and certainly didn't factor in the ones I punched through while working them with the stylus :(
The card was cut with my Cricut and the front panel run through the Cuttlebug using the Dots ef. I added Gelly Roll to the flower centers and attached them with Glossy Accents. I tried using an MS leaf punch for foliage but they were just too big. Finally remembered a Fiskars border punch that cut tiny leaves, which I needed because the cake is only four inches tall! I'm not sure there is enough greenery, I've been looking at it too long to tell.
Even with ALL those blossoms, it looked a little bare, so I punched some small buterflies, painted a body with Gelly Roll and attached with micro Glue Dots.
If you look closely you can see that I even set my cake on a silver serving plate!
I really think this turned out pretty well, but it is very top/front heavy and of course it can't stand up because it has a round bottom. Would I make it again? Only if you bribed me!

Very beautiful. I understand your reference to the time, OMG I can't even imagine starting a project with this much work involved. You chose great colors, this is a very striking project.

Thud.....shut the front door! Kittie, she is my guru, Professor, my mentor and friend. Beautifully crafted, and super delish! When I saw this, I screamed "this is so not a card!" Your dimension is incredible. Girl, you got DIRTY!

This is absolutely gorgeous! Worth all the time you put into it! I agree...I don't know how Kittie does it. I bet your card gets cased over and aver again. Beautifully done!
