Another challenge I struggled with, this one from Julie (jmasse), but this gives me my MIL's birthday card. I'm a bit nervous (for want of a better word) because she said the card I sent her while she was in hospital was the best card I'd ever given her. How do I live up to that?
5 3/4" square white base. Flowers created with Blossoms 1 cut from Core'dinations, cut and curled. Perhaps inspired by Lydia's quilling tutorial yesterday, when I was casting about for ideas for the centre I took out some old mulberry tissue and created fringed quilled centres. Initially I had dry-embossed the Labels frame round a sentiment stamped directly on the card base, but with the flowers being so large, it didn't look balance, so I had to stamp the sentiment again and pop it up.
