This is my sample for the last *sniff, sniff* DTGD12 challenge - Lydia's challenge.
I used Paper Smooches Space Cadet stamps and to create the background I started with a sheet of watercolor paper that I stamped with stars using Versamark Ink. I then embossed it with Ranger Holographic Embossing Powder. Next I used Tim Holtz Distress Markers in Faded Denim, Chipped Saphire and Dusty Concorde to color around the stars. I was pretty all over the place with it, not really worrying about neatness, just filling in. Then to get the nice blendy look I spritz the paper with water in a Mini Mister. This activated the markers and caused them to run and bleed together to get that pretty night sky look. After that was dry I die cut it using a Spellbinders Wonky Rectangle, stamped, watercolored and cut out the spaceship and popped it up on some foam tape. The sentiment is cut out with a Spellbinders Deckle Rectangle Small, sponged it with a bit of blue ink and attached it to the card. The background is embossed with a Cuttlebug Spots and Dots folder. PHEW. The end!
