For the Free for All challenge today we were to use doubles, or two or a pair of items. I am still trying to replenish Birthday cards in my stash and thought I was going to make a more masculine card, but the bow ended up on it anyway! LOL
I made the background using a large puppy paw stamp and bronze embossing powder. Then I use my two Yorkie stamps (both by Dragonsflyer) and colored them with copic markers. I punched out some DP circles to layer and used just a little chalk around the edges. I added a digi birthday sentiment. But it looked a little sad, so I had to add the ribbon : ) Thanks for a fun challenge today Jeanne and thanks for stopping by to take a peek!

What a great card! I love the little yorkies and you did a great job coloring them. I think the card is still masculine enough for a guy even with the bow. (We put bows on their birthday presents and they don't complain, right? ;)

Those paw prints for a bg are the BEST!!! LOVE them and those adorable yorkies! You did a great job with this challenge, Kathleen! I love those dp circles-great idea and to add the chalk around the edges gives it a lil more color and frames those sweet doggies beautifully! I just want to squeeze them both~ I'm sure any guy would enjoy receiving this card. After all, dogs are a MAN'S best friend, right?

Oh my this is adorable!! I had a Yorkie. Boscoe. He lived to be 16. He was so much fun and so darned cute. Personality plus. I have been looking for a yorkie stamp for ages so now I've got a supplier. Thank you. I love how you did the bg. Very cute card.

What cute little pups! love the embossed paws background - the ribbon looks great - especially in the blue - (just a thought - you could add a couple of brown buttons if you wanted to keep it masculine but felt it needed something more than the stampings!)
