Some color challenges come easy and other not so much. Today's falls into the latter category for me. In fact, in PMing with some other SCSers with whom I correspond regularly, I had said that I wouldn't be doing the challenge. Well, it IS a challenge, so I decided to give it a "go". : ) Julia(artystamper), indeed went "arty" with the colors she chose for today's challenge:
Real Red
Wonder Wisteria
Island Indigo
The dessert was flowers, but I decide to do a non-representational image.
When I find a color combination that is difficult for me, I find minimizing one of the colors sometimes helps. Here I did it with the Real Red.

This is fabulous! I, too, find some color combinations easier than others and use the concept of minimizing one color to help be sort it out. I love the abstractness and your interpretation of today's challenge!

Sallie, you did a beautiful job with today's colors! I love your sponging on this card, you made the colors look so soft! Such a serene look. I struggled with this color combo and could only think of doing something whimsical with them. Flowers need green, and that was not one of the colors, so no dessert for me either.

Just amazing! I am so glad you tried it, because it is fantastic! I would think this to be contemporary maybe modern. I normally do not favor those as well. But your card is so interesting and has great shapes, the feeling of movement and I think you used the colors cleverly!!! REALLY awesome!!! I could see this in an art gallery or on the cover of a scientific journal (okay, without the sentiment)! Love it!
