Thanks Loll for always inspiring with your CAS creativity.
After looking at pictures of Poinsettia's on the internet I went for a bit different look, but really liked the results.
The flower is time consuming, but the finished punch art is wonderful.
I did trim the tips of the petals for a more pointed look and trimmed the ends of the larger petals 1/4" and the ends of the smaller petals 1/8". Each petal was sponged with Real Red ink. I then used my foam pad and stylus for the veins on each petal.
I secured the larger 7 petals to a punched 1" circle of real red CS using Crystal Effects. The 2nd layer of 6 smaller petals were layered and attached the same way.
I finished the center with gumball green CS punched with the smallest sun punch and added Champagne glitter glass.
I finished off my card with a very simple CAS layout.
Enjoy and thanks again Loll for giving me a creative push for what I think is a beautiful Christmas card.

WOW!! Love your poinsettia. The veining adds so much to the texture of the flower and makes it look REAL! Love that you used more petals for a fuller flower - will have to do that next time! I love your layout and the poinsettia looks beautiful with the champagne glitter paper backdrop. Gorgeous, gorgeous Christmas card!

This is just beautiful! I've always loved Poinsettias. Can I ask if the sun punch you used in the middle of the poinsettia is that the smallest sun punch? I noticed that there are 3 different sizes. TFS!

Absolutely stunning! Definitely worth the time it took to do it--and then some. Beautifully shaped flower, and the veining makes it look like a real poinsettia.

Wow! This is really stunning!! Thank you for providing the details on how to make that flower. I love that you kept the layout CAS. That glitter paper looks fabulous with your flower too.
