For today's Free for All to depict weather. I didn't want to depict today's weather as it is raining and I'm no fan of rain. Also I'm trying to get my July quota of Christmas cards done for the Christmas Card Challenge so went with a winter scene. One of my favourite kinds of weather is a white Christmas but I live on the coast in the Pacific Northwest and we rarely get a white Christmas. So here's my Dasher enjoying a snowy day!
I've been using Heather T's masking fluid technique for snow scenes and I'm totally in love with it! (Thank you, Heather!)
I masked the hill so that it would stay white, then splattered masking fluid on the sky area, sponged with blue and grey ink, and when the ink was dry, rubbed off the masking fluid. Then I stamped and embossed Dasher in bronze and sprinkled clear ep on his body and iridescent ep on his antlers. I bordered the image panel with bronze shimmery cs, added a white embossed panel and sentiment on a ribbon tag, and put the whole thing on a bronze cardbase.

Now, this card will cool things off. It's gorgeous and I really love that snow scene.

Now why didn't I think of getting my July Christmas cards done!! I always love to see Dasher, and the snowy background you've created for him is really fabulous.

I love it Susan! So refreshing on a hot Texas day! I love the snowflake effect on the image panel. Love the Swiss dot embossing too, It goes perfectly with a snow image.
