For today's challenge to portray weather on our cards.
It has been very wet here.
One night I left my attic window ajar (I hadn't even had time to turn my computer on that day, so I hadn't come up to turn it off at bedtime, or I'd have spotted the open window) and it poured and poured.
Luckily there wasn't too much damage - one multi-coloured ink pad that was a good age, and a whole pile of paper and scraps that I'd been saving on my desk.
Aptly, this Noah's Ark was practically the only survivor from that pile of papers!! It was coloured a long time ago with H2Os, before I had a good range of distress inks. I cut it out and created a background.
5 3/4" base, edges sponged with black. Blue card stitched, then I added some sea with H2Os washed onto some watercolour paper, torn and embossed.
Rainbow and sun are from MFT, clouds are Memory Box. Alas, I'm running out of my lovely teardrop gems, but I still had enough to add some rain to my card.
I love the new SU ark stamp - hard to justify it when I have this High Hopes one, but it looks a much more practical size.

What a great (although some what disappointing) story. I guess I say great b/c I save way too many scraps. And if they washed away...well, I'd have a neater craft room!

What a fun card...in spite of some of your loss, Sabrina. Love your beautifully colored Noah's ark, pierced rainbow and bing rain drops. Perhaps you could send a bunch of that rain over to the Midwest in the USA.

Now, this is just too cute. Love all the weather details and your water for the boat. Glad you didn't have a disaster in the craft room with the rain. Yikes!

Oh Sabrina, this is such a delight! That ark is brimming full of animals! I love the rainbow and the tear drops and the sun peeking o9ut from between the clouds and also the stitching.
