I don't do combinations as my brain just doesn't work that way, but when you are forced, I guess you do things you never would otherwise and I am so far behind with such a big stack of challenges I WANT to do that today I was forced.
DH gave me some leftover balsawood from his model boat and I had the gate all laid out for using wood on a card last week and just never got to it. So today we have the wood and the IC challenge.
I was inspired by the reversable headband located here.
I stamped the images with VersaMark and embossed them with fine black embossing pwd. The Inkadinkado clear stamp on the left is also over stamped with CTMH Vineyard Berry.
It HAS to be a fantasy garden as who has black flowers. Well, maybe some of you do. I tried black tulips and black hollyhocks once and they all died. Hmmm. Dandelions and Queen Anne's Lace always grow well for me. tfl

Carol, I got such a chuckle out of your description. Too funny. If that is your handwriting...it's FABULOUS!! You could work for a stamp company doing sentiments. I love it! Your balsa wood fence is terrific and I like the dramatic black flowers, some with the touch of dark red.

Carol..you just crack me up! I love your description of all the trials and tribulations..so funny! I love this gorgeous too. That fence is fabulous. How lucky you are to have a talented DH that shares. There would be no other colour to use behind the fence other than black! Yes indeed...into my faves for sure!

I love your card Carol!!! That fence you made is AWESOME!! Thank hubby for the supplies. I think you did a great job with using the headband as inspiration. As for the black flowers, well, a lot of ours are dead from lack of rain and a water ban. I like Queen Anne's lace and that has popped up early from the heat and drought I think. Craziness!! :>)
