It was after seeing this pretty little card that I became inspired to participate in the "Try a New Technique" sunburst challenge. (I'm only one week late.)
I was having trouble envisioning how to cut the triangular strips in a way that would ensure they'd fit together snugly when I found these great instructions I adapted them to fit my own needs by making my dp strips only 1" wide and by moving the starting point to the right so my burst would be a little off-center.
I made the embellishment using tea bag fold tutorial. The center is a circle cut from card stock that's been embossed with clear UTEE.
I didn't have any brown grosgrain that was wide enough, so I just used a strip of Chocolate Chip cs that I dry embossed.
