When I saw TreasureOiler's CASE of my card, I knew I had to turn around and CASE her card. I really liked the soft colors and the feminine feel of her card.
Her card also gave me a reason to pull out one of the MFT sets I purchased recently and give it a bit of inky love.
I rotated the design, selected a different sentiment and used some K&Co. 3-D sticker flowers from my stash, adding an extra flower and positioning them differently. I kept her black scallop circle diecut and the soft colors. You can't see well on the pic, but I used the SU linen background stamp on the blue circle mat to give it a bit more visual interest.
I saw the little pearls laying on the desk and thought they went well with the old fashioned feel of the DSP.
I'm going to send this card to my friend, Joanne. She is in her late 70's (I think) and has been having some health issues this past year. She has had to deal with some really heavy things in her lifetime, but has always exhibited an unwavering faith that God is there and will get her through to the other side. We now live several hundred miles away, so I don't get to see her often, but she is often in my thoughts and prayers.
Many years ago, while having lunch together, I told her that when I grew up, I wanted to be like her -- a strong, loving woman of faith. I'm probably 20-25 years older now than I was then, but I would still say the same thing to her today.
The inside sentiment is: "Inside and Out."
Just perfect!
