Toni's challenge today was to use tissue on our cards. Last time I wanted to do faux silk all I could find was pink - and despite the fact that I remember recently folding and saving some white tissue wrapping, I couldn't find it. I had to resort to some that was still around stuff I brought back from Paris, which has the date the shop was founded stamped in silver across it. It was hard finding a patch to stamp in in between the watermark effect!
This is also for the current ODBD Anything Goes challenge - I chose I verse I need at the moment to give me hope that life will get better some time soon!
5 3/4" square base, paper is K&Co Geo Floral, with the edges sponged and stitched.
Bird stamped on tissue paper with StazOn (because the first time I forgot that Versafine, even when heat-set, smudges when I crinkle the tissue) and coloured from behind with pencils. I stuck it to white card and cut and layered with Nestabilities.
Sentiment stamped on white card, sponged, layered and pierced. Image and sentiment popped op on foam, and then parts of a flourish die added.

Love the texture of the faux silk and your pretty sponged edges Sabrina. Pat is getting ready to preach on John 14 Let not your hearts be troubled...I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. Sometimes the best comfort for the here and now is hope for the future! Love the verse you used too!
