Today I discovered some new challenges and got to play in some old favorites so it is a good day. To top it all off, my Pop is going to get to eat hotdogs and potato salad or whatever he wants today. After several months of being on a feeding tube, getting to chew and eat real food is a true freedom to celebrate.
If you are interested in the challenges I entered - it is record for me! Check out my blog at:

Nancy what an awesome card. I love your layout and great image. I am happy your dad gets his life back today. Tubal feedings are horrible. Hope he is able to tolerate the real thing without complications.

Wonderful patriotic background - love the stitching. And the image is hilarious - I don't think I'd like to get on his wrong side.
4 month's tube feeding - oh my, I bet real food is going to taste soooo good. A couple of years back they were considering tube-feeding my nephew as a supplement to "normal" eating to get some weight on him, but in the end they felt it would be too traumatic for him. What a great way for your dad to celebrate getting back a measure of independence!!
The sketch worked so well for this - the textured white circle is fab.
