For the background I used Ranger alcohol inks Pitch Black and Purple Twilight and applied them with a felt pad and block then did the same with the blender solution keeping it mainly on the purple. I am very pleased with my end results!
The flower images are colored with Copic markers listed as used from the center out: RV29,25,23. I embossed the flowers by de-bossing with a very small metal ball stylus along all the lines then flipped it over and embossed using several different sizes of metal ball stylus and stayed away from the debossed lines. I use a folded paper towel for cushion. I then mounted them with foam pop dots and applied yellow Stickles to the stamens.
I roughed up the edges of the alcohol ink panel using thumbnail, straight pen and paper perforator and just worked at it until I was satisfied.
The Perfect Layers tools from Perfect Paper Crafting was used to cut the even borders. Use any brand craft knife or rotary cutter for cutting. A tutorial video can be found on the company site.
The insert was stamped the same as you see the envelope but colored in.

Roxie, gorgeous purple background. What do you call that technique? I read your description, but not quite sure. Looks like a watercolor spritzing technique, but not quite the same. Very effective and made a beautiful background for your popped up flowers. Love the simple framing too. TFS
