FEBVSNF - I love this challenge. I have had a few people ask where my name came from and I felt kind of funny about it. The day I was sitting on SCS and signing up, my son (about 6 months at the time) was wearing the Carters romper - Eric Carle's "Very Hungry Caterpillar." My son has blue eyes and the outfit always made his eyes pop, so I washed it constantly so he could be in it. Also, my daughter (2 at the time) and I would read the book every single night before she went to bed. It was the very first book she ever memorized verbatim. I will NEVER forget the night she read it back to me completely on her own. I was in amazement! So, as I sat trying to come up with a name - wanting "ladybug" to be in the title, I looked at my son, thought of my daughter and our nightly ritual and decided "Very Hungry Caterpillar" was the perfect choice for me. I haven't regretted the name for one moment since. Plus, doing this was FUN!

This is a very cute card. When I was going through the "new additions" for the day this one popped out at me because my Grandson loves this book too. I can remember reading this to his Mom (my daughter). I don't know the attraction to it, but a lot of kids love it. By the way, I will be CASEing this idea so thanks!!

I love that story! I was hoping you'd tell us where your name came from. I use to love that book when I was a little girl. My granny received a letter from the UK last week and it had the CUTEST stamp on it...yes! The Very Hungry Caterpillar! Not only did the stamp have our little Caterpillar friend on it, but it had holes in the stamp! I guess he really WAS hungry! ha ha! Here's a link to the stamps:
