Judy's challenge this week was to make a dryer-sheet flower for our card. The tutorial was authored my my friend Emily aka EJKeaton and this was another incentive for me to try this technique. Emily's tutorial is replete with admonitions avoiding perfection and that small variations add to the charm. HA! I spritzed and stickled and punched my way through the evening yesterday, only to have asymmetry and glitter with it's own agenda...not very charming to me at the time. I came back to the flower this afternoon, tamed it to my liking and searched for a sentiment. After several false starts, I remembered the TH sentiment bars that I recently purchased. Aha, finally, perfection...I even used a funky irregular BG and two different colors of twine to attach it! I mounted it to my flourishes white card and opened it to admire the finished project. I had mounted the whole panel upside down - I truly laughed out loud, so much that my family came running from three directions. PT - 5 (plus all of those other miscues)
I have decided to keep this card myself, just to remind me to relax and enjoy it all lest I forget. Thanks Judy and Emily for the nudge
Thank you so much for looking. Have a peaceful day.

Ohh that is beautiful , Marie! Lovely card . Your flower is just beautiful! I disagree with you - I think your flower has a magical charm! Beautifully done, and a great choice of paper.
I confess, we do not use dryer sheets, but I wonder if I should purchase some and run a bunch through the dryer so I can make beautiful flowers like you and Emily!

Sounds like you had a real adventure making this card Marie! Don't worry you are not the only one that has made a card so it opens wrong. I usually do it when I have used red line tape with no hope of putting the heat gun to it to pull apart and correct....lol This is just beautiful. Your flower came out gorgeous.

Wow - this is amazing!! Nice job on the flower - I think it's perfection. But I can see why you laughed about the card being upside down - how ironic is that especially considering the sentiment LOL!!! I'm still laughing - not at you, but with you . Hugs!

Marie, that was a funny post. But, your flower turned out great and I love the sentiment and the reason for using it. Super job!
