Today's color challenge from Mary gave me a flashback. It reminded me of the colors my house was decorated with in the 70's. Some of us might remember the green appliances, orange shag carpets, brown furniture. My refrigerator lasted for ever, so I always had to work around a color scheme of a green refrigerator. I like these colors much better on a card . I stamped my image with brown ink, and colored with chalk. I added gems to the flower centers. Ran it through a frame embossing folder. I put three strips of brown ribbon and put a buckle die through them. The buckle die was a gift from my friend Gail. I added three more gems. tfl

Just beautiful! I love that delicate stamp from hero arts and your wonderful layout! Ha! In the 80's we moved into our first house , and we replaced the shag carpet, a purple toilet - yes - -purple - but we kept our " beautiful" avocado green appliances until we sold the house! Since then, I've avoided any trends - all white, thanks!
Great looking card - love your ribbon and beautiful buckle!

Great card!!! Love what you did with today's colors! You are right about the 70's. Come to think of it, we had an orange sofa, artichoke colored appliances and dark brown carpet!!! Too funny!

So elegant and delicate. I love the paler, more subtle use of today's challenge colors. The die is lovely too. Just a gorgeous card! So much prettier than the 70s decor ;).
