I am allergic to dryer sheets--they make me sneeze and DH breaks out. So, I had saved this bright orange piece of stuff made of dryer sheet material--it was used instead of tissue paper in a gift I had received. I knew it would come in handy someday. Anyway, I wanted to use it up and have no leftovers--so this flower is very thick and full. Looks like something you would buy as an accessory at Charming Charlie's. Fun!
It occurred to me that tissue paper would work well with this technique. Maybe I will try that next time.
This is a scrap of DH's hand-marbled paper.
DH makes the handmade marbled paper. It's a complicated and intricate process. I tried the marbling, but wasn't very good at it. I'm not enough of a perfectionist. Here is a video on

I like your idea of using tissue paper. I do not like the smell of dryer sheets, but my gf'd brought some over so we could play. I love how your card turned out and the beautiful strip of marbled paper. TFS

Beautiful! I love the bright orange color. Your DH's paper is so pretty. I have a bunch of hand marbled paper I made years ago and since it's impossible to duplicate, I made color copies so I wouldn't use up my originals.

How cool! I have known of this technique for years, but I don't think I ever knew anyone who actually made it! DH's lovely paper works perfectly with your big, fluffy flower! BTW, your flower looks gorgeous!!! Great card!!!
