I made this card in honor of my grandmother. She is in a nursing home and doesn't remember much anymore nor does she do the things she used to do. It's like she is a shadow of the person she used to be. She used to crotchet alot and gave all of us doilies on a regular basis.
This is for the Sat. challenge and my inspiration was a doily and an angel figure. The angel on the web. was blue, but I made mine in pinks and purples because those would be colors my grandma would like better.
Stamps -- On Angel Wings, by SU!, the doily is froma local craft store.
paper -- brilliant blue, and something close to the old orchid opulence, and white.
Accessories-- 2 different paper punches and embossing border folder.
Ink -- lovely lilac and basic black
Technique -- water coloring w/pencils and using chalks
Thanks for looking.

Geni, this is lovely! Love the doily -type accents for your pretty angel. I'm sure your grandmother will enjoy looking at it. It is hard to see someone we love slip so in later years.

Lovely card for your dear grandma....so sweet of you to use the crochet like doilies..I'm sure she will like it. I've always been partial to angel stamps..this is so pretty and the sentiment is perfect.
