This is for the Free for all today, to used red, white and blue. Last week I went into Joann's and they had just gotten in a bunch of new suede paper (from HOTP) in wonderful colors. I got 3 of each color, except for the ones I can usually get. Can you say horde, cuz that's what I'm going to do with them. Anyhow, these flowers are made with the beautiful suede papers. My Mom got the die set for me at her Joann's, since I couldn't find it in town here. Thanks Mom! Of course she'll get this card too!
I used the carnation dies to make these flowers and a Cheery Lynn flourish for the wonderful swirls.Since these papers are so expensive, I use every inch I can, thus the little flowers, but they work perfectly here. The bg dp is by HOTP. No fancy stamping or coloring, just a stamped July that is done with Versa Mark and clear ep.

Aren't Mom's wonderful! Your carnations are so dimensional, thick and rich using that suede paper and they're arranged perfectly, Jennifer...this is so beautifully striking with the striped bg.

Boy am I glad I get this card!!! I am usually not a big fan of RW&B, but this one I love! It even looks good here, so it will probably be a lot better IRL.
