This is my first time uploading a card to SCS and also my first time attempting to use a sketch/participating in a challenge. I'm sorta freaking out over here.
This is a very simple card, and I made it to give to my husband for Father's Day. I always have a hard time coming up with the right sentiments for this sort of card - where you are giving it to your spouse who is the father of your children, but obviously not your dad .
I started out with this week's Mojo Monday sketch - (http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2012/...nday-245.html), and the Make My Monday challenge to make a masculine card (http://mimchallegeblog.blogspot.co.u...-week-53.html). For this card I used kraft cardstock (something cheap I got at M's I don't know the brand) and I "distressed" it using watercolors in varying shades of brown and black. I tore paper and used the SU Chocolate Chip ink and sponge daubers to continue with the theme. On the inside I talked about the fact that we are partners on the journey of life and parenthood, etc.
I apologize for the not so great quality - my scanner didn't do well with the 'splotchiness' of the watercolors and I had the hardest time framing well with my camera!
