I love today's challenge colors though I am just this minute realizing that I'm missing one....ooops! I kind of forgot that the Limeade was dessert and skipped the Baja Breeze by mistake. I'll upload this one anyway and maybe I'll have time to go back for a 2nd try with the right combination this time!
I picked up some stamps at a thrift store yesterday and wanted to ink up this apple right away (can't beat 6 stamps for $3). When I saw the colors I thought the Cajun and Cherry would be perfect together on the apple with the Limeade for the leaf. I inked the stamp with Cherry Cobbler then added a few extra touches with an Early Espresso marker and also only inked the leaf with Lucky Limeade. After I stamped onto Confetti Cream, I used a paintbrush with extra ink from the ink pad lids to add more color to the apple. Finally, I took my Cherry Cobbler marker and added fine vertical lines on the image. I then used a Sahara Sand marker to shade around the apple. I sponged the edges with Early Espresso then framed with Cajun Craze. It dry embossed the Early Espresso with the Square Lattice ef and added some ruffled Cherry seam binding. I cut my sentiment piece and notched the edge with a square punch. I stamped my sentiment and sponged the edges. My button was found on a walk the other day...it is really beat up and vintage looking and my string is a piece pulled from a HUGE burlap coffee bean sack my future SIL brought me from the restaurant he works for. All was mounted onto a cheery Limeade base.

Nice apple! Don't you just love that square lattice embossing folder? It makes so many images just POP!

Wow! Your were so resourceful using your embellishments...a found button, burlap thread from a coffee bean bag...that is just fantastic! So very creative and a sweet card!
