For today's IC challenge from Artful Whimsy - I was inspired by this white washed sign
I had cut this spool (edited from 'thimble'! thanks Sallie!) with my Silhouette last night when I was making a card for the F4All challenge . I 'white washed' the center to look like the thread wound around it using white acrylic paint. I embossed the top and bottom of the spool with distress EP to give the texture of wood.

How cute is this...love it...so perfect for a get well card...way to go...:0). So glad you were able to spend time at your nephews 1st b-day. they are sooo fun. I remember my sons first....lol...my aunty purposely made him a big chocolate cake...lol...as you know I sure had to give him a huge bath everywhere...have a great weekend too...ty...:0)
