I made this card for two challenges. In the Queen for the Day challenge, Trish selected Taylor Usry (stagccva). She has a wonderful gallery with such a wide variety!!! So many wonderful, fun, pretty, cute...all kinds of lovelies!! I was inspired by her ornament: Dance Girl Ornament by stagccva at Splitcoaststampers
Now, I did not make an ornament, but I think you can see how her lovely pink ornament inspired my card.
In the Free 4 All challenge, we were not allowed to use scissors. Luckily for me, I have my cricut and big kick, so I really didn't have too many problems. (yahoo!)
First I used the Spellbinders oval with the beads on white cardstock. Then I used a regular oval to cut out the center. Next I cut a piece of vellum with the plain oval die. Then I cut out two more ovals, one blue for my background and one white for the back. At that point I wasn't sure if I would be making the ornament or a card.
For the owl, I used the Cricut Sentimentals cartridge. Then I used the Joys of the Season cartridge to make some trees. Then I adhered it together with glue dots and mounting sqares. If I would have tried for the ornament, I would have had to use scissors. (Oh I am such a good girl!) lol
Lastly, some silver Dazzels and some white pearls for trimming.
Both were wonderful challenges for me, thank you Trish and thank you Dawn!!!

Oh, this is just adorable. Love the owl behind the frosted window. It's one of those cards you just want to gaze upon for a while. Love it!
