Todays' sketch gave me a stressful morning. You ask me to tilt something, and my mind goes bananas. This card started as a bright cheery card and ended up being kinda grunge looking. I stamped and colored the image with copics. I then embossed a fanciful label. It just didn't want to do what I had in mind....I then got out the sandpaper. I added some score lines and distressed them. Added a ribbon. tfl I'm off to pick strawberries.:) Back later with comments.

Oh, Linda, I'm so with you on the "tilting" thing. You only see tilts on my cards when a sketch challenge demands it! : ) Your card is lovely and really stands out in those complementary colors. I think the sanding on the embossing gives a wonderful aged effect.

Sometimes it's good to leave your comfort zone. I like this distressed look..the flower is wonderful and it goes great with the green sanded and scored bg. Enjoy your berries..I'm going next week..love those fresh berries!

Ummmm, strawberries! Do you share;)? Ours should be ready in about 3 weeks-can't wait to pick some fresh ones and I need to make jam!
For not doing what you wanted, your card is beautiful! I really love this look, and I just don't do it enough. Thanks for the inspiration:!:
Sorry your card gave you such fits. I think it turned out great. I like the distressed look in combination with the crisply colored rose. The velvet ribbon just adds another interesting addition to your card.
