 | | This week's CAS challenge is to use the theme of love on a card. It didn't specify what type of love, or love for whom, so I chose to make this card for my best friend.
I wanted to showcase a wonderful sentiment stamp I have. If you don't know the Kay Foley sentiment stamps, check them out at River City Rubber Works. Some are quirky, some are heartfelt - I just ordered three Christmas ones as I love them so much.
The background I stamped the sentiment on is from a class I did on watercolour backgrounds. I did a simple wash with a shimmery w/c paint, then while it was still wet, I sprinkled it with coarse grain sea salt and let it dry. The salt reacts with the paint and gives a neat splotchy finish. Once dry, be sure to rub all the salt off.
Because I used a shimmery watercolour paint, I wanted to add a bit more shimmer to the card so added a layer of turquise glitter cs. |
