Welcome to June! It means the start of summer (bring on the sunshine!), the end of the school year (my son graduates from high school this month!) and the Creative Crew Challenges. Here's my card for the Color Focus: "We’re going to use just three colors: Basic Gray, Whsiper White and one new In Color. You can pick any new In Color you want, but your project can only have three colors, no more, no less." I decided to use Primrose Petals and made a birthday gift for a coworker while I was at it. What do you think?
To make this box, I used my Big Shot and the Fancy Favor Bigz XL die and Basic Gray cs. For the main panel, I used my Big Shot again but this time with my Labels Collection Framelits and Whisper White cs. Onto the die cut, I stamped the cake image using Basic Gray and Primrose Petals ink pads and markers along with my Stamp-a-ma-jig. I smashed the die cut right onto my Versamark pad so I could emboss it with Iridescent Ice Emboss Powder. (Dazzling Diamond Dust Technique: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/re..._diamond_dust/ ) It's adhered to Floral District dsp with Dimensionals and layered on Whisper White cs. I embellished it with two Basic Rhinestone Jewels and a Basic Gray Designer Button/Whisper White 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon combo.
Finally, the chocolate inside the box are each wrapped with a strips of Floral District dsp and put in a Medium Cello Bag. I tied it off with some new Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and added my three die cut banners that I made with my Big Shot, Bitty Banners Framelits, Itty Bitty Banners stamp set, Primrose Petals cs, Basic Gray cs and ink, Whisper White cs and Basic Rhinestone Jewels.
Won't you play along with us? TFL - Regina
