Here is a card and the dies used to make the eyelet. There are 2 borders and 6 inserts, from 3 sets, Classic Scallops, Classic Petals, and Classic Triple Scallops. The only border not used is the scalloped one. They are taped on the non cutting side with artist tape. It still sticks to the cardstock some when it goes through the embossing process, but until I get to Target for the washi tape it will have to do.
I have tried the Scotch removable tape with the same results.
The eyelet on this card is cut from what I call suede paper. It didn't go through the embossing, but the design shows up as if it did, this is just the nature of the suede paper.
You can arrange the inserts any way you like, as long as you have a border on each side. These work better when you have the longer plates.
While you have the dies taped together, you may as well make several panels. I'll use Undu to get the sticky from the tape off the dies.

This is absolutely gorgeous...and what a fabulous idea. I am going to give this try for sure. I love how the borders look on the card and the addition of the bows are perfect.

Beautiful! Nice idea to show the dies as you used them on this card. I like your embossing & butterfly at the top too. I've been making some of these eyelet panels too and the hardest part seems to be to know what to do with the rest of the card. TFS.

Jennifer, these lacy cards that you have been creating lately are REALLY amazing. It must take a lot of planning and precision cutting to get them so perfect. This one is lovely and I like the added bows.

This is wonderful, Jennifer! I have a bunch of those border/inset dies but didn't think to use them all together. What a great idea and such a beautiful result.
